New Road Design

Pedro Bay IRA received money from a HUD Block Grant to design and build a 0.75 mile road to their proposed new landfill, as well as right-of-way-acquisition and survey of their Barney's Bay/Long Bay Trail. The IRA hired RPKA to complete all necessary services for the new road which included:
- Survey
- Geotechnical investigation
- Erosion control
- Slope stability
- Hydrology study to determine drainage and culvert design
- Water resource features and any necessary water structures
- Wetland permit
- Environmental assessment
- Preliminary and final road design
- Permitting
- Village council and regulating agencies public meetings
- Construction management
In addition, RPKA assisted in the construction administration. This project was built utilizing force account construction with RPKA serving as construction inspectors.
