New Road Design

Pedro Bay IRA received money from a HUD Block Grant to design and build a 0.75 mile road to their proposed new landfill, as well as right-of-way-acquisition and survey of their Barney's Bay/Long Bay Trail. The IRA hired RPKA to complete all necessary services for the new road which included:

  • Survey
  • Geotechnical investigation
  • Erosion control
  • Slope stability
  • Hydrology study to determine drainage and culvert design
  • Water resource features and any necessary water structures
  • Wetland permit
  • Environmental assessment
  • Preliminary and final road design
  • Permitting
  • Village council and regulating agencies public meetings
  • Construction management

In addition, RPKA assisted in the construction administration. This project was built utilizing force account construction with RPKA serving as construction inspectors.
