Road Resurfacing Project

Port Lions, Alaska

RPKA was retained by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Alaska Regional Office to resurface 5 miles of roads and to design culverts and drainage system. Due to poor materials in the region the road degrades and produces large amounts of dust in the community, causing health problems for community residents. RPKA designed a system to resurface roads in the entire community to eliminate these problems. The system utilizes a revolutionary acrylic copolymer dust palliative. Services include:

  • Preliminary engineering report
  • Geotechnical investigation
  • Surveying
  • Hydrology
  • Plans preparation
  • Permitting
  • Drainage system design
  • Culverts design
