Geotechnical Services

RPKA has been providing in-depth geotechnical/geophysical hydrology/hydraulic engineering services for the past 25 years. In the course of a geotechnical investigation, RPKA will gather field information, and research previous studies on soils and site conditions. As soil test holes are gathered, and soils investigation are performed they are then taken to our laboratory to be analyzed to determine the best approach and alternatives for any given project. Erosion control, and slope stability analysis are also a part of our geotechnical services. The firms experience ranges from frozen trundra to permafrost and arctic to sub-arctic conditions, as well as southeast, and Aleutian conditions.

RPKA also provide seismic design; soils, bedrock, and water conditions investigations to generating site specific seismic design criteria, and evaluates safe slope stability conditions for worst case seismic loads.
